Our Mission
We’re two high schoolers with a shared passion and determination to make a difference in the fight against leukemia. Our mission is to bring people together, inspire action, and raise vital funds to support groundbreaking research, life-saving treatments, and resources for those impacted by this disease.
This campaign means so much to us because we’ve seen how cancer can affect families and communities. We’re driven by compassion and hope, and we believe that by working together, we can create a future where leukemia no longer takes lives or causes heartbreak.
Every dollar, every voice, and every effort counts. Together, we can spread awareness, save lives, and show that even the smallest actions can create monumental change. Let’s turn hope into action and make a real difference.
Izzah Khan, 17
My name is Izzah Khan, and I am a 17-year-old junior at Maurice J. McDonough High School in Pomfret, Maryland. I decided to participate in this campaign because I have seen firsthand how devastating cancer and other diseases can be, having had family members who have battled these challenges. Their experiences have inspired me to take action and do my part to support those facing similar struggles. Through this campaign, I hope to contribute to raising the funds necessary for advancing research, improving treatments, and ultimately finding a cure. I believe that every effort counts, and I’m honored to be part of a cause that brings hope to families and individuals impacted by blood cancers. I also hope that this experience will help me grow as a leader and stand out as someone passionate about service, advocacy, and making a meaningful difference.
Cassidy Tucker, 17
My name is Cassidy Tucker and I am a 17-year-old junior at The Calverton School in Huntingtown, Maryland. I decided to participate in this campaign because of my interest and passion for going into the medical field in the future. I hope to be a Neonatologist that can help premature’s and newborns in the NICU one day. I also have hopes that this will catch a lot of college’s attention when I start to apply next school year, putting me in a separate category from millions of other students that will be applying.

Visionaries look to the future—and see infinite possibility.
They challenge the status quo—and make the impossible possible.
They boldly imagine a better world – and lead the charge to create it.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society was built on that same vision - of a better world - one without blood cancers.
I am a visionary; I have a vision for a world without cancer, but I need your help.
This year, I’m proud to be a part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign, working to raise as much as possible for LLS’s mission.
As a global leader in the fight against blood cancer, LLS:
- Funds cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients
- Provides free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, including personalized, one-on-one support, assistance with identifying and enrolling in clinical trials, and more.
- Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.
Please consider joining this fight by making a donation. All donations are greatly appreciated and tax-deductible. Please visit my website often and tell friends who would also like to donate!
Thanks to your support, my efforts will help ensure this generation is the last to see cancer.
On behalf of blood cancer patients everywhere, thank you!
